Full Description

A farmstead noted by Archaeology North Ltd during a 2011 DBA and walkover survey in advance of a woodland creation scheme. It was a three chambered stone building shown on the OS 1st edition map surveyed 1871, and later maps, with an enclosure to north and trees along eastern edge of the enclosure. The outline was visible on a Google Earth image dated 1/1/2004. It was reduced to two gable ends standing to roof ridge. There was no sign of trees. <1>
