Full Description
This site was noted in ARCH's Heritage Along the Kyle Line project in 2011. It was recorded as the remains of sentry hut guarding munitions store. Two photographs were submitted. It was found to be in poor condition. <1>
During WWII munitions were stored in tubes under key sidings on the Kyle line, at Fodderty and Durinish. In the event of an enemy invasion, the sidings could be blown up. The munitions were guarded by Norwegian sentries. <2>
