Full Description
A probable burial cairn was recorded in Balblair Wood, Beauly, during a walkover survey by Headland Archaeology in 2009 in advance of proposed quarry expansion. It consisted of a subcircular stony mound, approximately 9m in diameter and 0.75m high. A mature conifer in the northeast quarter had pushed over a mature deciduous tree, which was also on the mound. Several smaller trees were also present. <1>
