Full Description

The site of a guardhouse was noted by ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. A guard house was situated at the entrance to Newton Road North from the old A9 road. Alan Kinghorn remembered catching the bus to school from the guard hut, when it was manned by uniformed civilian police, part of the Air Ministry Police. The hut was donated to the football club when it was laid out at Culcairn. It no longer survived by 2013. Contributor: Alan Kinghorn <1>
