Full Description

This is a rail bridge of unknown but likely post medieval or modern date, that crosses the tracks towards Evanton Airfield/ Newton of Novar Airfield.

Gun emplacements on this bridge were noted by ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. Gun mounts survived on top of the railway bridge leading to the camp at Newton Road North. The same type of mount can be seen in some of the pillboxes on the airfield. Contributors: Alasdair Cameron, Alan Kinghorn. <1>
