Full Description

The site of Squadron HQ was noted by ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. A plan of defended locations, probably from 1942, showed Squadron HQ in this area, which is separated from the airfield by the Allt Graad river (National Archives AIR 29-594), and outside the perimeter of the camp. On the 1944 aerial photograph, buildings appeared near the field boundary but they had been dismantled by 1946. Contributor: Willie Fraser. <1>
