Full Description

Four hard standings were noted by ARCH's Evanton Wartime Remains project in 2013. Hard standings were at the ends of runways and appeared in some photos and maps. Vans situated there gave the green light for take off where pilots couldn’t see the control tower. The hard standings were clearly marked on wartime plans. Contributor: Alan Kinghorn.
