Full Description

NG20SE 6 2720 0487.

(NG 2720 0487) A circular ruin, probably a broch, connected to the shore by a causeway, shows clearly at half tide. There is an oyster midden nearby. Visited 1953.
Private 6"map annotated by T C Lethbridge 1953.

The alleged broch is an elongated rocky islet (only visible at low water) with a few seaweed-covered stones between it and the shore. No trace of artificial construction. From the opposite hill-side it looks like a circular structure with a causeway. No trace of the oyster midden.
Visited by OS (A A) 3 June 1972.
