Full Description

NG20SE 7 2738 0442.

(Area NG 273 094) Standing stone, with the top broken off.
Private 6"map, annotated by T C Lethbridge 1953.

Situated on top of a rocky outcrop at NG 2737 0441 is an upright stone measuring 0.8m high by 0.6m broad and 0.4m thick. An earthfast boulder lies beside it. Although Lethbridge states that the top has been broken off there is no evidence for this. The origin and purpose of this stone are uncertain, but it is an unlikely antiquity.
Visited by OS (I S S) 29 May 1972.

(Location amended to NG 2738 0442).
