Full Description

Two stone cairns (site 10) were surveyed by West Coast Archaeological Services in March 2013 during a walkover survey in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. This feature was found in survey area 2. The cairns were made of stone. They were located at the northern edge of the basin by a north facing hillside. The west cairn measured 4m in diameter and 0.6m in height; the east cairn measured 2.5m in diameter and 0.5m in height. Both cairns were in a degraded condition at the time of surveying. <1>
