Full Description

A group of stone clearance cairns (site 13) was surveyed by West Coast Archaeological Services in March 2013 during a walkover survey in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. These features were found in survey area 2. The group of clearance cairns were spread across an east facing slope. The cairns ranged in size from 2.5m - 4.5m in diameter and were up to 0.6m in height. Two of these cairns were well built with possible kerbs. All cairns were in a very degraded condition at the time of surveying. <1>
