Full Description

A derelict late C19/early C20 kennels building on the Invereshie Estate. The kennels do not appear on the 1st Edition OS Map but are present on the 2nd Edition, thus were constructed between 1869 and 1901. Situated to the south-east of a former gamekeeper's cottage, the kennels formed part of the estate's working buildings. The primary building materials consisted of stone and mortar, and the building was roofed in slate.

A photographic survey and desk-based assessment were compiled and collated in 2012 by Gray, Marshall and Associates to form a supporting statement for a planning application. The assessment contains the known history of the kennels and the wider estate. The building provided evidence of the estate's past sporting history as a let sporting estate during the C19. <1>
