Full Description

An early C20 house near Portree, Skye. The house was built in a traditional style, with the main building materials consisting of stone, mortar, and a slate roof. The local post office (MHG56563) was at one time alongside this building but was later converted into a domestic shed.

A photographic record was carried out during 2010 and 2011 by Mike Taylor as part of a condition of a planning application to demolish the house and build a new one in its stead. Mr. Taylor also provided information regarding the house's history, which points to a construction date within the 1920s.<1>
