Full Description

The grassed over foundations of a stone-built house lying by an abandoned quarry on the north side of the Herishader access track were recorded by M Wildgoose during a walkover survey in 2002 in advance of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme Project. The house lay on a northeast to southwest alignment and measured 9m long by 4m wide over walls 1m thick. A small area of well preserved lazy-beds lay immediately to the south of the house. <1>
