Full Description

A grassed over, figure of '8' shieling was seen during a rapid walkover survey by M Wildgoose in 2002 in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. It lay in the very corner of area B. The larger cell measured 4m overall the smaller 2m overall. A small area of well defined lazybeds lay immediately to the northeast side of the shieling. <1>
