Full Description

This site was surveyed by John Wombell, Linda Lamb and Jonie Guest of the North of Scotland Archaeological Society as part of a rapid walkover survey on the 8th of January and 2nd of May 2013. A potential hut circle with a c8m internal diameter and a wall spread of 4x05m in height. The wall buttressed out to 10m in width in the form of an engineered stone bank that sat at a stable angle of repose on the SW quadrant. The hut circle was slightly truncated by a hill track on the upper east side. The structure was in and surrounded by rank heather. <1>
