The site was visited by A Puls of Highland Council in October 2012 as part of a of a high level assessment of Second World War sites associated with the Loch Ewe Arctic Convoys. Sites visited were confined to significant features and remains located between Poolewe and Cove.

This site was believed to be Victorian in date and would have been a repeater station used for telegraph communications. The cable was still visible in the sand to the north-east of the building. <1>
