Full Description
NM48NE 13 c48 85.
In 1861 (the Kildonnan area is being discussed) a heap of sea-rolled boulders and gravel c. 130ft above the sea and nearly 1/4 mile from it, was investigated. In its interior was found a stone cist 16-18" deep, c. 33" long and c. 19" broad. The sides were of thin stones, a thick rough stone forming the top. The bottom, of a fine earthy matter, contained only some small pieces of charred bone.
