Full Description

A WWII air raid shelter to the rear of the RN Hospital (HMS Flora) on Cromlet Drive, Invergordon.

The building was investigated in 2015 as part of the ARCH project 'Invergordon in World War I'. A long air raid shelter is shown on wartime plans in private collection behind the hospital on Cromlet Drive (called H.M.S. Flora in WWII). It is labelled on the 1941 plan 'Existing Air Raid Shelter' and is likely to have been for patients. No trace remains. <1>
