Full Description
A WWII pipeline filters building on Joss Street, Invergordon.
The building was investigated in 2015 as part of the ARCH project 'Invergordon in World War I'. Behind Joss Street was a pipeline filter house in WWII, with access by gates from the eastern end of Joss Street. It appears clearly in an aerial photo of 1947, showing a low flat building tucked just inside the military fencing, with pipes emerging onto the roof in three places. Today the site is very overgrown, and appears to be in poor condition. <1>
