Full Description
A C20 boiler house to the north of Joss Street, Invergordon.
The building was investigated in 2015 as part of the ARCH project 'Invergordon in World War I'. This area had contractors huts in WWI, which were cleared by 1930. In WWII other wooden buildings were in the area. This building is labelled on a plan in private collection as a Boiler House in the 1960s. An aerial photo from 1978 shows it as a two or three storey white building. <1>
On OS mapping dating to 1981 it is labelled 'Joinery Works'.
