Full Description

The Tel-el-Kebir cottages in Joss Street, Invergordon. Built in the late C19.

The buildings were investigated in 2015 as part of the ARCH project 'Invergordon in World War I'. The cottages appear on the 2nd edition OS map (surveyed 1902). The cottages are said to have been named after a Gordon of the Cameron Highlands who was at the battle of that name in Egypt in 1884. <1>
