Full Description

NG43NE 4 4804 3712.

At NG 4804 3712 prominently placed on a rise is a disturbed mound of stones c. 8.0m in diameter and c. 0.4m high. The centre is occupied by the remains of a modern shepherds cairn. It may be the remains of a modern marker cairn but its position and the quantity of stone visible through the turf suggests it is more likely to be the remains of a burial cairn.
Visited by OS (I S S) 6 October 1971.
