Full Description

Coishletter 2

Close to the E corner of the ruined modern fank, at about 66m OD is a compact group of ruinous turf and stone built structures and enclosures, consisting of two sets of longhouses and byres, each set within a turf dyked yard complex. A turf dyke joins the two 'farms' together and a small area of rig and furrow cultivation lies close by to the east. The remains of a small turf and stone structure lies 30m to the NW of the main group, it is possible that a third 'farm' group lies beneath the ruined fank.
Information from R Miket, October 1989.
