Full Description

NG51NE 19 5836 1904.

Lying at the foot of the slope by the E side of the track to Suisnish and facing the open sea, are the ruinous remains of a well-built stone house. The remains measure 9.8m N-S by 4m E-W over walls 1m thick, a door opening lies in the centre of the W side. A garden enclosure with a wall containing many very large boulders lies on three sides of the house being attached only to the NW and SW front corners, leaving the front of the house open to the sea.
On the opposite side of the road at NG 5834 1906, are the ruins of a byre-type building which measures 7.5m N-S by 3m E-W over walls 0.6m thick; an internal partition divides the building in half and each half has a doorway in the centre of its W side.
Visited by J S Wood 3 April 1990.
