Full Description

NG35SW 37 3312 5300.

An orthostatic wall protrudes from the peat for a distance of 30m at a height of about 185m OD on the hillside above the W shore of Loch Greshornish midway between the cottages at Lowerglen and Cnoc Chearcaill. Probing failed to reveal any further lengths of the wall beneath the peat. To the ENE, however, two other fragments of a wall are visible running along the crest of a natural scarp that drops down towards the S end of the Buaile nam Biorrach township (NG35SW 32, NG 3325 5311 and 3340 5317). This wall peters out just short of the old dyke that cuts across the peninsula at the S end of the township. Visited by RCAHMS (SH) 27 June 1990.
