There are at least six shieling-huts strung out along the line of a bank aligned approximately from E to W; those to the E and W are not mounded. The others are mounded and in at least one a sequence with the bank can be observed; this begins with the mound, the bank forms the second phase, and it was itself refurbished before the hut was built on the mound.
