Full Description

NG25NW 9.03 2427 5939.

This farmstead, which is situated on the S side of the public road to Port na Cagain, comprises three buildings and an enclosure. Two of the buildings form an L-shaped block which is shown as roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Skye &c., Inverness-shire 1880 sheet ix), but the third building to the E is a later addition, which is roofed on the 2nd edition (ibid, 1904 ix). The main wing of the L-shaped block is a two compartment, windowed sub-rectangular structure with square internal angles and an entrance in its W side, measuring 11.5m from N to S by 4m transversely within rubble-faced walls 1m in thickness and 1.6m in height. The W wing, which is similarly built, measures 6.1m in length and 3.3m in breadth with an entrance in the W end. The secondary building is a small outbuilding measuring 5.1m in length by 3m in breadth.
