Full Description

NG25NW 9.05 2461 5955.

This farmstead, which is situated at the head of a croft on the SW side of the public road to Trumpan, just before the turning to Port na Cagain, comprises two buildings and an enclosure, both buildings being shown roofed on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Island of Skye &c., Inverness-shire 1880, sheet ix) and abandoned by the time of the 2nd edition survey (ibid 1904 ix). Both buildings are sub-rectangular with square internal angles; that along the SW side of the enclosure measures 10.6m from NW to SE by 4.2m transversely within rubble-faced walls 1m in thickness and 0.9m in height, with an entrance on the SW side while that on the SE side measures 8.7m from NE to SW by 3.9m transversely with similar walls standing to 1.5m in height.
