Full Description

NG25NE 15.02 2700 5689.

A group of four shielings, comprising three mounds and a hut, are situated on the back of a slight eminence, immediately W of a boundary bank (NG25NE 15.11). The hut is a stone-walled structure, 3.6m in length by 2.2m in breadth within walls 0.8m in thickness and 0.4m in height. Of the mounds, the largest, which has a dimpled top, is 11.5m in length by 8m in breadth and stands to 0.8m in height, whilst the next largest has a two-celled structure on top.
