Full Description

A small artificial hillock, the remains of a Pict's House.
Name Book 1882.

There are no intelligible remains of a cairn or mound here and no further info could be obtained.
Visited by OS (R D) 22 October 1964.

In farmyard of Mains of Assery is an amorphous and extensive mound of stones which appears to be of some antiquity, but it has been so mutilated by intrusion of buildings and tracks and dumping of stones that its date and purpose remain uncertain. No structures are exposed and no finds are known to have been made.
