On the W side of the Allt a' Choire 50m from the Broadford to Heast road at 52m OD are the turf-covered remains of a considerable settlement. The remains consist of at least 2 longhouses, 3 byres and perhaps 6 small enclosures. A mains water pipe has cut through the northernmost longhouse. Numerous field dykes radiate from the settlement.
