Full Description
NG62SW 81 6239 2067
On the W flank of Ben Suardal overlooking the Broadford to Elgol road
at a height of 52m OD are the ruinous remains of a boulder-built structure. Aligned NE to SW, the remains consist of the foundations of a house with rounded ends which measures 8.2m NE-SW by 4.2m NW-SE over walls 1m thick. This house has been shortened at some time by the addition of a cross wall 3.6m from the SW end. A stone-built revetment lies 5m from the downhill end of the house dividing the house from a small burn which lies 2m beyond the revetment.
Visited by C Stansfield and GH 1 April 1990.
