Full Description

NG25SE 8.08 2717 5449.

Situated in a bend of the road to Bay is a farmstead which comprises two adjacent buildings, one large and one small, aligned on the same axis. The long building measures at least 8m from ESE-WNW by 4.1m transversely within rubble faced walls 0.9m in thickness and 0.5m in height. Its W end has been disturbed by earthmoving in connection with road improvements. The smaller building or out-building, whose walls are reduced to low grassy footings, is attached to the S side and measures 2.9m in length by 2.4m in breadth with an entrance in its E end.

A farmstead, comprising one unroofed building is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Isle of Skye 1880, sheet xv), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1968).
