Full Description
Centred 578 395.
(Area centred NG 578 395) In a grassy corrie immediately beneath the top of Dun Caan are a few old stones said to mark the graves of Mackenzies of Gairloch and Mackenzies of Applecross, killed by the men of Raasay in a clan fight there.
S Gordon 1935.
The only corrie below Dun Caan is on the SW side. It is littered with fallen boulders, rocks and scree. Neither here nor elsewhere around the base of Dun Caan was anything of significance noted.
Visited by OS (A S P) 15 June 1961.
