Full Description
Approximately 40m N of milestone 5 on the track from Fearns to Brochel, and actually cut in two by the track are the overgrown ruins of a blackhouse and enclosure.
The house measures 11m N-S by 5m E-W over walls which have spread to 1.5m wide. A turf and stone dyke abutts the NW corner. The enclosure is roughly square in plan and is constructed of rubble stone walls which link isolated rocky outcrops. The enclosure lies to the E of the house and has an entrance in the SW corner.
