Full Description

NG62NW 10 6130 2560

Amongst rig cultivation lying to the NW of the Allt Fearna, on the SE flank of Creag Strollamus at a height of 60m OD, are the badly-degraded remains of a large circular structure. The surviving foundations measure 8m in diameter over walls which vary in thickness from 1m to 1.5m. A possible entrance 1m wide lies to the NW facing a small burn. A large clearance heap obscures much of the E side of the structure. Smaller clearance heaps lie close by to the W and E.
Visited by M Wildgoose 5 April 1990.
