A long ridge, Iomair nam fear mora (ridge of big men) so named because a generation ago large skeletons were excavated there. Traditionally associated with Fenian Burials.
M E M Donaldson 1920.

There is no definite ridge where Iomair nam fear mora is published on OS 6". Local enquiries failed to identify it, but it may be the NW-SE running ridge on which are located the two mounds (NG82SW 3).
The field between the road and NG 8051 2096 is known locally as 'The field of the big men'.
Visited by OS (RL) 29 September 1966.
