Carn na Croiche - Gallow Hill - is, traditionally, an ancient place of execution: human remain were found on this hill in AD 1865.
Name Book 1871.

The name Carn na Croiche and the tradition are still known locally.
Area heavily afforested.
Visited by OS (N K B) 6 September 1966.
