Full Description
NH94NE 5 9558 4946.
An allegedly "very perfect Druidical circle" on the top of Lethen Bar was found to be only 'a faint indication of a circular mound or enclosure of earth and small stones covered with heather'.
J Fraser 1884.
At NH 9558 4946, prominently situated on top of Lethen Bar at 847ft OD, is a robbed cairn with the centre occupied by a trig pillar. Only the outer rim remains, about 25.0m overall diameter, leaving an uneven turf-covered stony interior. A number of boulders on the eastern perimeter are probably the remains of a kerb. Surveyed at 1/2500 (OS {R D} 23 August 1965).
Visited by OS (R L) 19 January 1971.
