Full Description

A mound, 21 by 20.5m by about 0.5m high, containing remains of structure of unknown period, is an unploughed area in arable field. The remains of walling are substantial on seaward (S) side of the mound.

The mound at ND 3932 6830 is generally as described by Miss Batey. Although stone is visible in mound it is not certain whether it is vestiges of a wall. The mound is likely to be the remains of an old croft or stone dumping.
