Full Description

NH84NE 15 8714 4702.
In recently reclaimed pasture on a plateau, is an oval stone-walled hut, measuring c.15m WNW-ESE by c.12m transversely between the centres of a wall spread to c.4m all round. The indistinct entrance is in ESE. Within hut are two loose boulders.
Occupying most of plateau are the remains of a contemporary field system, comprising stone clearance heaps and occasional field walls, most of which have been reduced or destroyed by the land reclamation. Cultivation plots, average size 20m by 20m, are discernible where the system is best preserved in NE.
Hut surveyed at 1/2500. Visited by OS (N K B) 21 January 1971;

Visible on RAF APs 106G/Scot/UK/169: 5380-1 - 26 8 1946.
