Full Description

NG84SE 1 8554 4405.

Centred NG 8534 4405. Situated on a narrow shelf c. 400 ft OD., SE of the Shieldaig road are the footings of six buildings and part of a seventh. The average size of the buildings is 6.6m x 2.6m and all appear to have rounded ends. There are slight traces of banks, usually incorporating rock outcrop and to the south-west of the buildings is a cleared area with a large pile of cleared stones in its north edge. The site appears to have no name and nothing was found regarding its depopulation. (Visible on RAK air photograph CPE/Scot/UK 248: 3342) Visited by OS (W D J) 20 October 1966.
