Sean-bhaile (TI) OS 6"map, Ross-shire, 2nd ed., (1906)
'Sean-bhaile' is the name applied to '.......the site of a hamlet on the south end of Eilean Harrisdale Sig. "Old town".' (Information from K MacKenzie, South Erradale)
Name Book 1875.
On a sheltered moorland plain on the S side of Eilean Harrisdale, 30ft. O.D., there is a depopulated settlement called Sean-bhaile, comprising the 0.5 m high bracken and heather-covered footings of one small enclosure and 9 rectangular dry-stone buildings varying in size from 15.0 m x 3.0 m to 2.0 by 2.0 m.
