Full Description

At least six rectangular foundations.
Visible on RAF APs CPE/Scot/UK/246 3159-60

In area centred at NG 722 446, just north of road into Applecross, there are remains of a large enclosure, one small enclosure and six buildings. The large enclosure bank composed of earth and stones is 0.7m high, and enclosures the grass-covered, remains of two buildings 11 long by 3 wide. Outside this enclosure are the, partially grass-covered, remains of other four buildings varying in size from 7 x 3m to 10.5 x 3m, and the small earth and stone enclosure, which is attached to one of the buildings, is 0.5m high. Also, in area centred at NG 724 450, there are remains of six buildings and five oval or "boat-shaped" shielings. The grass-covered, remains of buildings vary in size between 11 x 3m and 12.5 x 4m with walls approx. 1m thick, while the shielings, with the exception of one of them, which is 8m long x 4m wide, are all 6 x 2m and are now visible as grass covered remains, 0.4m high.
