Full Description

NH18SE 5 169 812.

In the area centred at NH 169812, appox. 1200 ft. O.D., there are the grass-covered footings of 4 shielings, max. height 0.5m ranging in size from 7.0m x 4.0m, to 3.0m x 3.0m. All are rectilinear except the NW structure, which has a rounded end. (Visible on air photographs OS/60/55/056-7)
Visited by OS (N K B) 1 February 1965.

Four unroofed shieling-huts are depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Ross-shire & Cromartyshire 1881, sheet xxxv) and on the current edition of the OS 1:10560 map (1969).
