Full Description
NH06SE 1 05 60.
At the foot of Glen Dochartie, about one and a quarter miles from the head of the glen, and a little to the west of the bridge over the burn, are fragments of heavy black slag, and traces of charcoal burning. The place is on the ancient beach, about twenty feet above the level of the road.
These works were probably among the earliest ironworks in Gairloch.
