Full Description

NB several crannogs in the Cromarty Firth in this general area. Gr given as in Firth towards eastern end of this section - HAW 10/2003

NH64NW 14 65 47 to 58 49.
The remains of cairns were washed open on the range of shore that stretches from the ferry of Kessock (NH 6547) to nearly Redcastle (NH 5849) and found to contain beams of wood, urns, and human bones.
