Hut circle, c8m diameter, substantial stone wall, dug into hillside opposite entrance. Stone clearance cairn 10m NW. <1>

179951 872745 Cammassie Burn 3 AMC125: The hut circle was visited by A MacInnes in 2010 as part of research for a dissertation on hut circles in Wester Ross for A Welti. The circular stone structure is situated on a gentle slope in a clearing covered with bracken and surrounded by woodland. The platform is dug into the slope to the West and built up from the slope to the East. The outer walls are associated with much tumble. Average inner diameter is 7m, outer diameter is 11.45m. The double skinned wall is 2m thick with maximum height 0.7m. The entrance faces East. Entrance width is 1.5m internally and 1.3m externally, with passage length 2.6m. The entrance has 2 extended terminals. The hut circle may be associated with AMC123 (see MHG8286) (distant 500m) and AMC124 (see MHG8291) (distant 200m). <2> <3>
