Full Description

Early map sources - OS 2nd edition 1900: sheet LV(NW) & XLI (SW), Allt Poll Doire (Doire Leathann). Remains of one structure, near to river/burn, c 717518.

What may be one unroofed shieling-hut is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyllshire 1875, sheet lv), but it is not shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1974).

Doire Leathan: Remains of 2 small houses. Period of occupation uncertain, but after 1755 and before 1841. No arable seen, and the site may latterly have been a shieling.
